At the Louise Vincent School of Dance the emphasis is on making dance and the learning of dance enjoyable. In addition we also aim to build your child's confidence, whilst developing their musicality, coordination, spacial awareness, and social skills.

We take children from the age of 2 years old. Lessons last 30 minutes for younger children increasing to 1 hour 15 minutes for the older students. Where possible we like to keep the maximum class size to 20 pupils.

The school follows the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus and we enter students for exams annually. There is no obligation for your child to take the RAD examinations if they do not want to do so. That said most students do ask to sit these examinations and all seem to thoroughly enjoy the experience.

Where exams are taken, students are required to attend extra classes. These classes commence a few weeks prior to the examination and are held to ensure that all students are adequately prepared for their exam.

Our exam results have been excellent but the emphasis is always on enjoyment and we think that we could not achieve the results we do if it was any other way.
